Italian is my favourite cuisine and I’ve tried my fare share of pizza. I love traditional Napoli wood oven pizza and Nook has it down to a tea. This tiny restaurant on Denman Street in Downtown Vancouver only has seating for around 20 people and doesn’t take reservations. If you want a table, you will most probably have to wait but it’s well worth it. Pop your name down on the chalk board and go for a walk around beautiful English Bay.
What I love most about this restaurant is the small menu. They don’t try and overstretch themselves by offering hundreds of dishes. They know what they’re good at and they stick to it. They often have specials of the day which I love to try, there hasn’t been a bad one yet. Their pizzas are to die for, my favourite being the prosciutto and arugula, it never displeases. Their focaccia bread is also mouth-watering. Paired simply with oil and vinegar, I could honestly go there and just eat three portions of that.
